Sweet pepper is not inferior in popularity to tomatoes, cucumbers and eggplants in Russia, but the soil and climatic conditions of our country make certain adjustments to the rules for choosing a variety. Acquired pepper seeds for the middle lane must undergo mandatory pre-planting preparation, which will allow to obtain a high and high-quality crop of this popular vegetable crop.
Usually, amateur growers of Russia prefer early sweet pepper varieties for growing in open ground which are optimally suitable for the middle lane and form the crop as soon as possible.
Early and mid-early varieties are most often grown in seedlings, which is due to a fairly short summer period.

Seeds sold are not always processed in the factory, so it is very important to properly preplant them:
There is no need to use all methods in preparation. It is very important to remember that bubbling is carried out before disinfection, and hardening should be preceded by a bubbling procedure. Precision, inlaid and poured seeds must not be pre-planted.
A well-performed pre-sowing seed treatment increases the germination rate, increases the resistance of plants to adverse external factors, and also makes the garden crop less susceptible to damage by common diseases and pests.
Sweet bell peppers are heat-loving crops, and productivity indicators and crop quality of this vegetable crop will depend on proper observance of planting technology:
In the soil and climatic conditions of the middle zone of our country, the planting of peppers on ridges of open ground should be carried out somewhat earlier than the planting of tomatoes. Sowing seedlings is carried out in the second half of February, which is due to the rather slow development and growth of this vegetable crop. Transplanting seedlings into separate planting tanks should be carried out at the end of April, and in the last decade of May, plants are ready for planting in a permanent place.
The standard planting pattern for a vegetable crop is 30 x 30 cm. If there is a risk of return frosts, it is advisable to protect the plantings with a non-woven covering material or garden film. Proper planting and proper care will ensure a large and high-quality crop of pepper.
